Boudoir Photography - Frequently Asked Questions

The thought of a boudoir session can be scary. When talking to women about their session, there are often many questions that they all have. I wanted to compile a list of the 12 most frequently asked questions to give you some insight on preparing for a boudoir session with me!

Do you share my images?

Our #1 priotity is to make sure that clients are comfortable, especially with something so important such as boudoir! It can be a life changing experience, but that also makes it nerve wrecking! Sometimes, you are learning how to love your body and are not quite ready to share those images with the world. Sometimes these photos are specifically for your spouse only, and you don’t always want anyone else to see them. These are great reasons that some ladies often don’t choose to share their images. It all depends on your personal preferences! I will always discuss if you want your images shared at your ordering appointment, and even then, ONLY share the ones that you approve of.

Do I have to wear lingerie?

You definately don’t have to specifically wear lingerie, it depends on your personality! There are a bunch of outfit ideas other than lacy little things! We do offer an in house Luxury Closet that many ladies use for their photo shoots. The closet includes things such as luxury robes, angel wings, sheer gowns, capes, and much more. Email us to learn how you can access our Luxury Close for your own boudoir experience!

Do you have payment plans?

Yes, we do offer a few payment options! There is a booking fee due to book your shoot, and the balance for your products is due in full before you recieve any digital or printed products. If you want to be able to spread your payments out, many ladies will choose to prepay for products. You also get FREE access to our Luxury Closet when you prepay. You can still choose to upgrade at your ordering appointment as well, so don’t worry! To learn more about our payment plan options, click here!

Is hair and makeup included?

Hair and makeup is included in all of our boudoir shoots! I believe that it is very important for you to feel pampered from the moment you arrive for your shoot, and hair and makeup done is a great way to do that! Our amazing glam team can help you complete your look, whether that’s “I just woke up like this” or full glam! You can bring in ideas or inspiration pictures for your makeup and we can try to match that look!

Do you Photoshop my images?

I do make edits to your photos and only show the finished images at your ordering appointment. If you specifically do not want things such as your stretch marks to show OR maybe you have a tattoo you want edited out, I can do that! For the most part, I only focus on getting rid of temporary things, such as acne or stray hairs. Our photos at Bodyscape Boudoir are edited with the intention for you to display them, however if you want further editing done, you can request that! We are skilled in posing and lighting to make you look your absolute best and brings out your shine!

Where should I buy outfits?

There are lots of places that you can buy outfits from and it depends on what you are comfortable and how spicy you want your lingerie to be! Some of the most popular places women who have done shoots with us have shopped are Victoria’s Secret, Adoreme, Torrid, and much more! You can find more places on our Welcome Guide as well! If you are looking for something specific and cannot find, let me know and I might be able to help find what you are trying to get for your shoot!

What type of print products do you have?

We offer a variety of crystal albums and luxury metal wall art. The Heirloom album + matching digitals is a current client favorite. I absolutely love this as well! It is the perfect way to display your images as well as a way to store your album inside the matching box it comes with. “I am obsessed with my album! I just want to look at it everyday and show anyone who asks about my photo shoot. I am so happy I did this and got an album too!.” — Ashlynn, on her boudoir products purchased after her shoot.

Do you offer digitals?

Of course! You can choose to do the matching digitals with an album like mentioned above, get them with a Package, or just purchase all your digitals as an A La Carte option. There are lots of option to choose from when you book your Bodyscape Boudoir Experience!

I’m freaking out! How can I calm my nerves?

Nerves are all part of the experience! I always say that it would probably be weird if you WEREN’T nervous. The nervousness in the beginning of your shoot make your moment of “WOW” seeing your photos for the first time so much better!

How many outfits should I bring?

This is a very common question I get from clients. I recommend that ladies look to bring between 4-6 outfits. That way there are some choices, as well as extra outfits in case any of them aren’t a good fit for your photo shoot. If you choose to use our Bodyscape Boudoir Luxury Closet at your shoot, then you can also use those items as outfits!

Should I get to my shoot early?

You should always plan to get to your shoot 10 minutes early in case of traffic and also so we can talk about your outfits and make a plan for your hair and makeup!
